I joined Meta as a contract Technical Artist in June 2024 and converted to a full-time employee in March 2025. I develop tools and workflows that power Meta's virtual reality experiences, working at the intersection of Unreal Engine and Meta Horizon Engine.

Productionized "Switchable Vista" homes—high-fidelity virtual environments that users can seamlessly switch between as their VR home space. These environments are built using Meta Horizon Engine to deliver rich, immersive experiences on Quest hardware.

Contributions

  • Light baking workflows — Developed Unreal Engine tooling for baking high-quality lightmaps optimized for mobile VR
  • Asset export pipelines — Built tools for processing and exporting assets from Unreal to Meta Horizon Engine
  • Creator tooling — Collaborated closely with MHE engineers to improve the tooling experience for content creators
  • Light probe system — Authored a light probe tool that dynamically lights all avatars in Horizon Home and Events, ensuring visual consistency across different spaces and lighting conditions
