Landscape Thumbnails

A series of quick landscape thumbnails focused on composition and value structure. Each sketch took approximately 10-15 minutes.

Purpose

These thumbnails serve as preparation for larger, more detailed pieces. By working small and fast, I can explore multiple compositional ideas before committing to a full painting.

Techniques

• Limited value range (3-4 values max)
• Large brush strokes to block in shapes
• Focus on silhouettes and edge contrast
